26 THINGS I’M GRATEFUL FOR

It’s that time of year again… my birthday. Hoorah! Being so early on in January my birthday coincides with the start of the new year, and is always a time for reflection and planning for the future. As I turn a year older (and hopefully wiser) I thought it was time to sit back and reflect on all the tiny treasures I have to be grateful for.

26 things I’m grateful for:
1 – my health
2 – my home
3 – my happiness
4 – my parents
5 – good food
6 – good company
7 – laughter
8 – tears
9 – trials & tribulations
10 – setbacks/lessons that have made me the person I am today
11 – my rescue cats
12 – adult friendships
13 – hot chocolate on a cold day
14 – alone time
15 – learning & self-development
16 – the unconditional love and support of my parents
17 – lazy mornings in bed
18 – travel
19 – music
20 – Netflix/documentaries
21 – reading a good book
22 – podcasts
23 – the opportunity to create the life and career I dream of
24 – nature
25 – the freedom to be myself, with no expectations or limitations
26 – me.

It’s the ordinary things, and small everyday wins that makes life extraordinary. We should stop comparing our lives to others so much, and instead enjoy everything that we have to be grateful for. In 2020 I’ll definitely be taking the time to practice more gratitude.
