Milk Makeup is a brand I can get behind. Cruelty free, paraben free, and 100% vegan, this is a cosmetics brand born between studios in NYC and LA thats gone global. Milk have amassed a cult following for good reason, their products are full of nourishing skincare benefits and the packaging is oh-so-chic. Their marketing materials and IG feed are a millennials dream, and I have to admit I got sucked into the hype. I bought a few Milk Makeup products to see if they were really worth all the fuss…

Milk Makeup encourages its fans to use their products as a form of self-expression, it has the cool factor there’s no doubt about it. For someone who doesn’t have tons of time to apply makeup day-to-day, the ease of use of their stick products really caught my attention. Milk caters to a wide range of people, and appeals to such a diverse audience because the products really are as good as they say they are. I wore this makeup for about 8 hours with no touch-ups, and it didn’t budge – I think it even looked better after wearing it for all this time!

Milk Makeup products used (in above makeup look):
– Milk Makeup Flex Foundation Stick in Golden Sand
– Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer in Baked
– Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek in Werk
– Milk Makeup Flex Highlighter in Lit
– Milk Makeup Kush Fiber Brow Gel in Herb

I was wary to buy into Milk Makeup after all of the social media hype, but I’m so glad I did. It seemed like beauty enthusiasts in the UK had to wait ages to get their hands on this brand (even though it was only launched in 2016 in the US), so thank you Cult Beauty for letting us beauty lovers this side of the pond have a little slice of the pie. Out of all of the above products I tried, I think my favourites were the brow gel (because I loveeee a bushy brow) and the bronzer which added a subtle warmness and radiance to my complexion.
