Art looks different to everyone, doesn’t it? There’s no right or wrong when it comes to art, no this way or that way. With my ‘Face Jewels’ series here on my blog I’m exploring what my version of wearable art is, and letting the inner unicorn in me run wild and free…
Art “the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.”

With this particular beauty look ‘Face Jewels: Part 2’; I feel as if this is what I look like on the inside vs what I look like on the outside – basic vs not so basic! We’re living in an insta world and I’ve definitely been inspired by the multitude of jewelled faces I’ve seen flooding my feed as of late, and they’ve brought out the inner creative within me. I mean, who doesn’t want to spend 2 hours decking their face out in sparkly gems on the daily? I know I’m in.

As someone who isn’t professionally trained in the beauty or makeup industry and who dives in head-first just for fun, sometimes this community can be very judgemental and you’ve got to remember everyone’s allowed an opinion but it doesn’t necessarily make them right. I love that people are getting back to the pure joy that makeup can bring, and are having fun and experimenting!

What do you think of the whole face jewel movement, are you on board or not? Let me know in the comments section…
