We’ve seen the satin slip skirt time and time again, it’s nothing new or revolutionary. For me what I’m trying to figure out is new ways to style  and wear this versatile piece, so that it doesn’t look like I’m repeating the same outfit over and over again. With different seasons this is something that’s pretty easy to do, here’s how I’m styling the satin slip skirt for summer.

T-shirt: Topshop | Skirt: Topshop | Trainers: Veja | Necklaces: Vintage | Sunglasses: DePop

I bought this chocolate satin slip skirt when the craze first hit Topshop last year, and since then the sizing and fit of the Topshop satin slip skirts has definitely changed. The first round of slip skirts they created had the best fit and length in my opinion, any of the satin slip skirts I’ve bought from Topshop since have been slight too long and too baggy – the shape hasn’t been as nice. It’s been that bad I’ve actually had to have them tailored.

Thankfully, I bought this chocolate satin slip skirt when slip skirts were still new and I love the simplicity of styling this piece with a plain white t-shirt and white trainers for a simple and clean summer look. You’ve seen this slip skirt on my blog before with a chunky jumper and some ankle boots early this year in winter, which proves just how versatile slip skirts really are.
